What moms need to know about sustainable habits and health

Most of us know what we *should* be doing to get healthier, right? We have to eat better, exercise more, and avoid stress. And yet, the majority of Americans are still overweight or suffering from preventable health conditions or symptoms, and dealing with the physical, emotional, or financial consequences of this.

The data shows that living a healthy lifestyle remains one of the best strategies for maintaining good health. But here’s what lifestyle management experts know to be true - changing our behavior to create that healthy lifestyle IS HARD! Most of us were never taught how to do it right.

Still, our health care professionals are all recommending it - with little support or guidance offered. We’re just expected to get it done.

So there were *already* cracks in the system. And then when a woman enters motherhood, we know she’ll also be up against:

  • new (even extensive) changes to her body from having children

  • the roller coaster of emotions from such a profound life transformation

  • constant pressure to do whatever it takes to be a “good” mom

  • more responsibilities to juggle than ever before

Which makes moms particularly vulnerable to worsening health - and no one is equipping them with real tools or support to give her a fighting chance and overcome this.

And it’s time for that to change.
